Details About The Event
The organizer named the event as “kickoff to the summer season on Long Beach Island”. This couldn’t be far away from the truth as thousands of craft beer and hot sauce enthusiasts flocked to the third annual Hop Sauce festival in what looked like a great atmosphere.
The festival, which organizers hoped would attract nearly 6,000 people, is an eclectic mix of local craft-beer brewers and hot-sauce makers. It was held on Taylor Avenue on the bayside of Long Beach Island.
Thoughts About the Event – Support to Small Businesses?
Cory Higgins, chief marketing officer and co-founder of Jetty lifestyle apparel company, one of the festival's sponsors said that "this is sort of the kickoff event for the year". "The whole Island has kind of embraced it." He added that the festival united the local residents and visitors alike who are local and craft product aficionados.
It's about "getting away from the big corporations and supporting small business," he said. "That's what we love."
Regina Lotito, event director and owner of Spice It Up, echoed that same sentiment. "Each year we are growing, but staying true to our roots and what we set to accomplish: to give our community not only a day to remember, but a chance to come together and be a part of giving back while having a lot of fun”.
