Wide variety of different types of events
For the first day, one of the most exciting event is the MMR's (one of the biggest local radio stations) official opening of the Memorial Day Weekend with a great kickoff event. Jersey Shore May 26 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Their live broadcast will go at Keenan's Irish Pub in North Wildwood presented by Coors Light from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Note that this event is for people 21 and older.
The 73rd Annual Tour of Somerville is a great event that will occur on 29th of May. More than 600 professional and amateur cyclists will be competing in a 50-mile race through the town.
The Wildwoods International Kite Festival is also a really interesting event that will occur on May 26. The event will enable visitors to watch hundreds of colorful kites fly across the sky during this beach party.
However, one of the most exciting events is most certainly the Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival. From May 27-29 if you are a foodie and want to try out tasty things, you must visit it. There will be all kinds of different cheesesteaks, fried bacon, unusual dishes, deserts, lobster rolls and empanadas to cupcakes and waffle sundaes.
If you on the other hand want to buy some things and have relaxed shopping days, the Woodland Park’s Memorial Day Street Fair is the place to be. If you are with your kids go there as this is a family-friendly street fair event. Each year hosts transform the McBride Avenue into a giant block party. The kids section will include kiddie rides, face painting, sand art, temporary tattoos, pony rides and a petting zoo! Parents can do some shopping and support local merchants and businesses. Simply a great event.
Another beach event that you’ll want to visit while at Jersey Shore is the Bradley Beach Memorial Day Parade and Fair. This is a cool and wildly entertaining beachfront celebration. There will be a parade, arts and crafts fair, food, activities and beach and ocean.
